Hi, my name is Renee Dubuc. I have over 10 years of experience shooting and editing photos. Here's a brief timeline: I took my first graphic design class as a junior in high school back in Spring 2015. I got my first job in 2017 as a photographer for a well-known chain of portrait studios. I received my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Media Arts from SNHU in 2020. I started Photo Doctor in 2024, helping clients preserve their family's legacy.
My current scanner can scanning and "digitally develop" negatives, but it struggles with accurately converting the colors. I am planning on purchasing a dedicated device for negatives in late 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
Yes, I can scan entire photo albums! I charge per photo. If there are photos you do not need scanned and do not want to be charged for, please remove them from the album or clearly label them with a sticky note over the photo.
If you're on a budget, I recommend working on one photo album at a time to spread out the cost. You could start with the most significant occasions (like weddings, baby milestones, or Christmas photos) or begin with the oldest albums first.
I cannot convert movies at this time. I plan on buying the equipment to do so in late 2025 or early 2026. Stay tuned for updates!
I have successfully eliminated or greatly improved the appearance of all kinds of damage! Please note that certain kinds of damage and certain locations (like the face) are harder to repair than others. You can view real before-and-afters of my work on the About page and the Testimonials page.
Book a free consultation with me, and I'll give you my honest assessment of whether or not I have the skills to fix your photo. Worst case scenario, I’ll do a quick editing test for free, so I can give you a definite answer.
I always work with the original photo when possible. Once the quote is provided and the invoice is paid in full, we will arrange a time and place to meet up in the Southern New Hampshire area (see list of communities below). If you are comfortable assuming the cost and risk that comes with mailing the photo, you can mail the photo and a prepaid, self-addressed return label to me. I will scan it in at a high resolution for best results and return it when finished. Don't worry, I do not alter the original photo itself. If the original photo was lost or destroyed, I will do my best to work off the picture provided.
I proudly serve the following communities in Southern New Hampshire:
If your community isn't listed here, book a free consultation with me, and we can discuss a possible solution.
Depending on the severity of the damage, photo restoration costs between $35-135 per photo. I also offer discounts to seniors 65+. Book a free consultation with me to receive a free quote, valid for 30 days.
I classify photo restoration into three tiers:
*I reserve the exclusive right to determine which restoration tier a photo falls under.
I can provide the finished photos on a USB drive (up to 2GB) for $5. For no extra charge, you can provide your own USB in the manufacturer’s unopened packaging when I first pick up your photo. Please note that prints of the finished photo cost extra; please inquire about current print pricing.
I require invoices to be paid up-front and in-full for a few reasons. From an accounting point of view, my photo editing software must be paid in advance every month. Plus, staying on top of overdue accounts receivable can be very difficult for a small business owner. Also, in the digital age we live in, it's really easy to take the finished photo without payment (read: steal). I don't expect my family, friends, and neighbors to rip me off, but I must protect my value as a small business owner.
If you are on a fixed income, please reach out to me to see if we can arrange another solution. I want everyone to be able to preserve their precious family memories.
I do not offer any packages or bundles at this time. I charge à la carte style, so you don't pay for services or prints you don't want or need.
Every photo is different. Results cannot be guaranteed due to differences in photo developing techniques and the nature of the damage. Refunds and credits will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. But don't worry, I'm reasonable.
